In this section, the basics of editing (source) text are explained. The IDE works like many other text editors in this respect, so mainly the distinguishing points of the IDE will be explained.

I'm not sure this is the proper place for this comment but:
I have just down loaded: C:\FPC\2.0.4\bin\i386-win32 IDE.
Everything seems to work, except the cut, copy function.
Whether using either mode (CUA or Microsoft) cutting or copying causes the IDE to hang until I press ESC or Enter. On doing so there is nothing in the cut/copy buffer.

A problem with the program?
A problem with a ini/cfg file?

Once again apologies if this is not the proper place for this.

Use forums or mailing lists

You should ask questions about problems on the forums or mailing lists; this is far from the ideal place because no one can find it here except people who monitor these comments so they can improve the documentation.

Short answer: No such problem is known and it works on my computer.

It is best to continue further discussions on the forums or mailing lists.
